The Jewish burial ground, Mint Street contains Hebrew inscriptions

Pahlavi inscription

There is a granite cross, with an inscription in Pahlavi (Persian) characters of the 10 ^th – 11 ^th century CE at the church at St. Thomas Mount, Tambaram Taluk, Kanchipuram District. This Cross was dug out from the earth by the Portuguese in the year 1547 CE, while clearing the debris and later installed in the church.
